Community Feedback

In August 2023, the County hired an independent contractor to conduct multiple listening sessions throughout San Mateo County to collect community input on the Measure K funding priorities. The results of these listening sessions as well as results from a community-wide survey have been compiled and are now available for review.

We asked you what you need through surveys, listening sessions and community meetings.

We wanted to ensure that we are investing in initiatives that will make a big impact in San Mateo County and align with current community needs.

Listening session participants were given the opportunity to communicate their needs and preferences for how resources should be distributed among the priority areas. Watch the video to see what community members had to say.

“I think that the small group was amazing. I was with three people and then three staff members and they were so open, and they heard everything we had to say and were repeating things back that we said just to make sure that they were able to understand it fully. It made me want to make sure that I go to the next one. You feel like your voice was heard, like what you were going through mattered to people. And I just enjoyed the community."
