Workforce Training for Youth with Moderate to Severe Autism

Educational and workforce training program for transitional-age youth and young adults with moderate to severe autism.
Elder Abuse
Agency: District Attorney’s Office
The Elder Abuse Unit seeks to protect the elderly population in San Mateo County from crimes of neglect, violence, theft, and/or fraud, through prosecution of criminal offenses by deputy district attorneys who specialize in this area of law.
Gun Violence Prevention Program (GVPP)
Agency: District Attorney’s Office
Collaboration between the District Attorney’s Office and the Superior Court to increase awareness of civil restraining orders that include firearm prohibition and effectively ensure compliance with those orders.
Pilot – Children from Homes in Conflict (SPARK)
Agency: District Attorney’s Office
The goal of the SPARK program is to prevent future cycles of abuse and victimization by providing mental health services to children exposed to domestic violence.
Labor Standards
Agency: County Attorney’s Office
Funding utilized for one FTE Attorney to help stand up the OLSE office and help enforce labor laws.
Students With Amazing Goals
Agency: County Executive’s Office
This funding supports the SWAG Program that serves academically disengaged high school students in the Belle Haven and East Palo Alto communities with tutoring, mentoring, and life coaching.
Friends for Youth
Agency: County Executive’s Office
This funding will provide mentorship and connection to behavioral health resources for underserved youth via volunteers from the local community.
Build Up SMC Childcare
Agency: County Executive’s Office
This funding will continue the Build Up SMC Child Care Facility Fund program providing funding for minor repairs, renovations, and modifications for existing childcare facilities.
Second Harvest
Agency: County Executive’s Office
This funding is to provide food assistance services, such as meals and groceries, to low-income residents of the county.
CBO Community Outreach (OCA)
Agency: County Executive’s Office
CBOs and local organizations to work with the Office of Community Affairs to provide enhanced community outreach in historically underserved areas and areas designated in the census as “hard to count” throughout the county.
Early Childhood Education Workforce Expansion
Agency: County Executive’s Office
Countywide education and training program to enhance the quality and quantity of early childhood education workforce in San Mateo County by offering child development associate (CDA) credential and 4-year bachelor’s options to residents along with job placement at childcare centers and providers within the county.
Capacity Building and Technical Assistance for Family Childcare
Agency: County Executive’s Office
Capacity building and technical assistance for existing home daycare providers and those interested in starting home day cares.
