Coyote Point Park Modernization Project

Coyote Point Recreation Area has many antiquated facilites, including playgrounds, picnic sites, and play areas; these funds will be used to modernize visitor serving facilites and create new facilities in order to provide the experienced desired by San Mateo County residents. EPA Homeless Shelter Op Exp

Agency: WeHOPE

WeHOPE Shelter is a congregate shelter in East Palo Alto for adults experiencing homelessness. Visit www.projectwehope.org to learn more about this facility/program. Dial 211 for help accessing housing assistance.

The Big Lift is a collective impact effort aimed at increasing third grade reading proficiency in San Mateo County. Learn more at www.thebift.org

Parkwide Asphalt Paving

Agency: Parks Department

The San Mateo County parks system has many trails, parking lots, and drive aisles that are in poor condition due to deferred mainteance; these funds will be used to address deferred maintenance of paved facilites in the parks.

Internship Program for Youth (STEP)

Agency: Human Resources Department

The Supported Training & Employment Program (STEP) is an internship program, managed collectively by the Human Resources Department and the Human Services Agency (HSA), to prepare and train current or former foster youth ages 18-24 to transition into the workforce. The San Mateo County Parks Department utilizes funds within this program to preserve biodiversity, protect and restore native habitat, and reduce wildfire threats within the County parks system.

Coastside Medical Services

Agency: Puente De La Costa Sur

Supports services for residents of Pescadero including a weekly local clinic, outreach and education. Contact Puente De La Costa Sur for more information.

Through Measure K , the Parks Department has been able to introduce many community programming events, including in-class curriculm for underserved school districts, the Take A Hike program, Coyote Point SummerFest, and Volunteer Stewarship events. Fire Mitigation

Agency: Parks Department

Parks Fire Mitigation funds are used to implement and maintain large-scale wildfire fuel reduction projects that mitigate the threat of wildfire to neighboring communities and enhance access and response capabilites of local and state fire agencies.

Homeless Diversion & Coordinated Entry – Program Monitoring

Agency: Samaritan House

The County Human Services Agency staffs the homeless services system, and the Diversion and Coordinated Entry Services provider serves as the entry point to the homeless services system.
